Michelin Expands Workforce in Romania: 400 New Positions Announced
French tire manufacturer Michelin has revealed plans to recruit 400 new specialists and operators this year, with opportunities available in Bucharest and at its three production facilities located in Florești, Prahova, and Zalău, Sălaj. The company is currently participating in nine major job fairs across cities such as Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Ploiești, and Chișinău.
Upcoming Job Fair: Angajatori de Top 2019
The next event on Michelin’s agenda is the Angajatori de Top 2019 job fair, scheduled for the weekend of April 5-6, 2019, in Bucharest. At this event, the company will showcase available positions in its service center, covering areas such as finance, logistics, procurement, and human resources. Additionally, technical roles will be highlighted, including process engineers, production managers, automation engineers, and quality engineers. Notably, 60 internship positions will also be introduced during this fair.
Insights from Regional HR Director
Gabriela Alexandru, the Regional HR Director for Central Europe at Michelin, emphasized the importance of these job fairs as a platform to connect with talented candidates. „Given the variety of roles we offer, we are looking to hire both entry-level positions and experienced professionals across industries, services, and commerce. This year, we plan to gradually onboard another 400 employees, with a total recruitment goal exceeding 1,500 over the next five years. The presence of our Central European headquarters in Bucharest provides our employees with access to international experiences and career paths,” stated Alexandru.

Having operated in Romania for nearly 18 years, Michelin has invested over €400 million since 2001. The company’s production activities are conducted in three facilities: one in Florești and two in Zalău.
Growth in Workforce and Opportunities
In the past five years, Michelin Romania has doubled its workforce, surpassing 4,000 employees this year. The company operates across 20 different sectors, offering a diverse range of over 300 job types.
