Timothee Chalamet îl va interpreta pe Bob Dylan într-un film de James Mangold

Timothée Chalamet to Portray Bob Dylan in Upcoming Film Directed by James Mangold
Renowned young actor Timothée Chalamet is set to take on the role of Bob Dylan during the early stages of his musical journey in a film helmed by James Mangold, as reported by Deadline on Monday, with EFE providing additional coverage.
Exploring Dylan’s Musical Transformation
The film will delve into the pivotal and controversial period of the mid-1960s when Bob Dylan transitioned from a rising folk music star to a groundbreaking figure in rock music. This transformation, both influential and contentious within the music scene of that era, was previously explored in Martin Scorsese’s documentary, ‘No Direction Home: Bob Dylan’ (2005). While the project currently lacks a confirmed title, it is tentatively named ‘Going Electric,’ referencing Dylan’s shift from folk singer-songwriter to rock artist.
Script and Creative Team
James Mangold will adapt the screenplay based on an original text by Jay Cocks, known for ‘Gangs of New York’ (2002), which draws inspiration from Elijah Wald’s book, „Dylan Goes Electric! Newport, Seeger, Dylan, and the Night that Split the Sixties.” This will not be Mangold’s first foray into the musical biopic genre; he previously directed ‘Walk the Line’ (2005), which chronicled the lives of legendary musician Johnny Cash and his wife, June Carter, featuring Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon in leading roles.
