She revealed that during a costume fitting, the director asked her to remove her shirt under the pretense of preparing for a nude scene, despite the fact that they were not on set at the time.
A Disturbing Encounter
Lopez recounted, „A director asked me to take off my shirt because I was supposed to perform a nude scene in the film.” She emphasized that this request was made during a fitting session, not while filming. Although she chose not to disclose the director’s identity or the year of the incident, she vividly remembered the panic that set in during that moment.
„I firmly said no. I recall feeling anxious, but I was accompanied by a costume designer, which gave me the courage to stand my ground,” Lopez explained.

The roundtable included notable actresses such as Scarlett Johansson, Lupita Nyong’o, Awkwafina, Laura Dern, and Renée Zellweger. Lopez highlighted the importance of not yielding to such demands, stating, „If you give in, even for a moment, they may think they can take advantage of you. However, because I stood firm, he backed down and later apologized.”
After the director left the room, the costume designer expressed regret over the situation but lightheartedly commented on Lopez’s strong personality, which helped her navigate the uncomfortable encounter.
