DNA Conducts Raids at PSD Headquarters in Arad
On Monday morning, prosecutors from the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) launched an operation at the headquarters of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) in Arad, investigating a potential corruption case involving Cristian Ispravnic, the head of the Timișoara Regional Directorate of Roads and Bridges (DRDP) and a local councilor.
Early Morning Operations
According to sources within the PSD Arad, DNA officials arrived at the party’s office as early as 8:00 AM, coinciding with the arrival of the secretarial staff. They requested various documents and began examining the party’s computer systems.
Current Status of the Investigation
As of now, no items have been confiscated from the premises, but the prosecutors remain on-site, continuing their inquiries.
Witness Interrogations
Earlier, around 6:00 AM, authorities reportedly visited the home of Arad PSD deputy Florin Tripa to escort him for questioning at the DNA office in Timișoara, where he is expected to provide testimony as a witness.
Additional Searches Underway
Further investigations are also taking place at the DRDP Timișoara headquarters, indicating a broader scope of the inquiry.
