He indicated that the most suitable date for the parliamentary plenary session would be December 23.

Orban stated, „I engaged in discussions to ascertain whether there is political support in the event that our goal of passing the state budget and the social security budget by year-end cannot be achieved through parliamentary debates. I received confirmation from the PNL leadership for this procedure should we decide to proceed with taking responsibility.”

Steps for Taking Responsibility

The Prime Minister outlined the necessary steps involved in this process, emphasizing that December 23 is the optimal date for the plenary session. „The timeline for taking responsibility includes the adoption of the legislative proposals during government meetings, convening the joint permanent offices of both chambers to establish a schedule, and allowing time for parliamentary groups to submit amendments to the proposed legislation for which the government is assuming responsibility,” he explained.
