In a recent press release, it was disclosed that ELCEN’s unpaid receivables have reached 217.5 million lei, with 110.3 million lei overdue by more than 90 days. „The cessation of hot water supply in the capital is an extreme measure that we have consistently sought to avoid. We have continued to provide thermal energy to RADET, even in the absence of payments, hoping that Mayor Gabriela Firea would eventually recognize her primary responsibility: the well-being of the citizens. It appears we were overly optimistic. For them, the citizen is merely an abstract concept. What seems tangible are the donations to churches, public funds spent on advertisements for state companies that waste millions monthly, and various trips for retirees,” stated Ovidiu Neacșu, founding partner of Sierra Quadrant.
