Timișoara Hosts the Second Regional Qualifier for BRD FIRST Tech Challenge Romania

From February 22 to 24, Timișoara will be the venue for the second regional qualifier of the BRD FIRST Tech Challenge Romania, featuring 36 competing teams. Out of these, 29 will advance to the next stage of the competition, showcasing their robotic innovations.

Countdown to the Finals

With only four weeks remaining until the final stage of the Romanian season, teams participating in the BRD FIRST Tech Challenge Romania are in the midst of an intense qualification phase. This weekend, Timișoara will play host to this prestigious international program, which is implemented in Romania by the „Nație Prin Educație” Association.

Participating Teams

The competition will see 36 teams battling it out on the field, with participants hailing from various cities including Arad, Calafat, Craiova, Deva, Drobeta-Turnu Severin, Hunedoara, Ineu, Jimbolia, Mediaș, Moldova Nouă, Petrila, Petroșani, Râmnicu Vâlcea, Slatina, Târgu Jiu, and Timișoara. Notably, two teams from St. Petersburg, Russia, will also be competing, adding an international flair to the event.

About the Program

The BRD FIRST Tech Challenge Romania educational program is brought to the country by the „Nație Prin Educație” Association, under a license from FIRST USA (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). This organization is recognized as the largest NGO in the field of robotics and STEM education, promoting innovation and creativity among young minds.
