Viorel Moldovan, aged 47, will not be joining Dinamo! Officials from Chindia Târgoviște reportedly engaged in discussions with Ionuț Negoiță, the club’s owner, regarding the financial terms for releasing the coach, but their proposals were ultimately rejected.
Financial Demands and Negotiation Breakdown
As per reports from telekomsport.ro, Chindia has set a price of €45,000 for Moldovan’s release, along with the extension of Mihai Neicuțescu‘s loan until the end of the season and a 20% share of any future transfer involving the player. Dinamo is in urgent need of a new coach following health issues faced by Eugen Neagoe, and Moldovan was considered a potential candidate. However, prior to the match against Craiova, Chindia confirmed that the former international would remain with the team. Despite this, Moldovan hinted at his desire for a new challenge at Dinamo, indicating that the final decision rests with the club’s management. Negotiations between the newly promoted Liga 1 team and Negoiță have taken place, but the latter deemed the demands excessive and unfeasible.
Moldovan’s Commitment to Chindia
„I prefer not to comment on the Dinamo situation. I am the coach of Chindia, and that is my sole focus. Dinamo is an attractive opportunity for many coaches, presenting an interesting challenge, but I have no further comments to make. I haven’t discussed this matter with the players. Please direct your questions to the management regarding my position for the upcoming match against CFR,” Moldovan stated a few days ago.
